Linocut Printmaking Workshop
4 October @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm£25
Our Head Gardener, Graeme, will take you on a tour of the gardens, where you’ll be able to gather seed heads and leaves to use as inspiration for your print. After working these into a design – there will also be ready made designs on hand that you can use if you would prefer – you’ll learn how to transfer your image to a linocut tile and carve it using specialist tools.
Experiment with overlays in different colours onto paper and greeting cards and at the end of the workshop take your linocut home to use again and again.
This workshop is popular with card makers and quilters who are looking to add unique designs to their work.
All materials, printing equipment and refreshments are supplied. Please bring an apron or painting shirt and a sketch book and pencils. You will work on postcard size lino tiles (approx. 15cm x 10cm or 6” x 4”) Suitable for beginners or as a refresher course.
