Summer Photography Evening
August 12, 2021
A beautiful evening of flowers, traditional cyanotype printing and the unique opportunity to photograph after hours amongst the beautiful walled gardens of Belmont House.
On arrival you will receive a refreshing summer drink and meet our head gardener who can answer any questions you may have about the stunning garden & grounds.
Karen demonstrate the art of botanical cyanotype printing before offering you the chance to create your very own print. This is a beautiful process and is very much at the foundation of the photographic documentation of plants and flowers, dating back to the very inception of photography itself. You will have the chance to make three prints and there will be extra papers to purchase should you wish to continue your practice at home.
There will also be time to press a few flowers during the evening, these will be posted to you after the workshop.
You will also spend time in the gardens with your camera and amongst the tall grass meadows as the sun goes down, perfectly encapsulating the light of golden hour and truly the best way to complete the evening.
After the event each guest will be posted their dried cyanotype prints along with any pressed flowers and a photo taken on the evening.
Book your place today on the Love Your Camera website.
All workshops are subject to change due to Covid-19 guidance.
