Join woodcarver James Robertson and craft your own spoon from green wood. All tools, materials, and step-by-step guidance will be provided to help you create a unique, hand-carved piece.
James will prepare a spoon blank for you by axing it out of a freshly cut log. He will demonstrate his amazing axe skill on the day but you won’t be expected to work with an axe at this level – he will bring pre-prepared spoon blanks so that you can get on with designing and carving your spoons. Suitable for anyone over 16 with reasonable wrist and hand strength.
James has been carving for 20 years and is a member of Kent Bodgers. He teaches at various venues throughout the south east and is a dedicated green woodworker.
We will be stopping for a break, please bring a packed lunch with you. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
