Our volunteers play a vital role in bringing Belmont to life, welcoming our visitors, and sharing their knowledge of the Harris family and the history of the house in a fascinating and enjoyable way.

Volunteering throughout the main visitor season can be for as little as a couple of hours per week. Full training and support will be given.

What can we offer you? A chance to meet new people, learn more about your local area and learn new skills. No experience is required, just a passion for sharing with others, enthusiasm and energy.

Gardens open daily, 10am until 6pm.
Guided House Tours will be available on Sundays and BH Mondays at 11.30am, 1pm and 2.30pm.
Self-Guided Tours will be available during the week on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, between 1-3.30pm, last entry at 3pm.
Please note, the House is closed on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
*** The A251 Ashford Road will be closed from Monday 5th August to Friday 27th September 2024***
If you are coming from Ashford, please plan your journey in advance and allow extra time. Signed diversions are in place.
If you are coming from Faversham, please use Brogdale Road, off the A2. For all other routes and details about this road closure, please click here
